I swear peeps, I never put a post in where some of the things are in events that coincidently end that day, I try really hard to pay attention to that chit, but alas, not today. I actually took this picture Friday, but barely sat at my computer all weekend.  It’s Mardi Gras season and everywhere you look there’s a parade, a marching crew, an event, a party…crazy pants I tell ya….and I’ve been caught up in it.  Yesterday morning the Krewe of Barkus rolled through the Quarter…yep….doggies…the theme was Joan of Bark… how can you not love that.   Then The Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale made their way uptown…their signature throw is gorgeously blinged out compact mirrors….BAM!  There were 3 more parades in a row that just followed the previous…so allll day into the evening.   In another part of town was the Krewe of Push Mow….dozens upon dozens of peeps pushing decorated lawn mowers…..  I said crazy pants right!?  Anyway, one of my girlfriends was just cut loose from a long relationship (toxic, so a good thing) and she has thrown herself into the social scene by joining every chick marching club and parade krewe that she can.  This, of course, means that her besties must support her by going and yelling at her as she passes.  In return, I get brownie points, the true pleasure of seeing her smile again AND cool stuff that she makes sure I catch.  This Wednesday she is in the Krewe of Nyx…they throw awesomely decorated (ie blinged out) purses (swear)…. score!!  Thursday is Muses and those chicks throw (gently toss or pass down…you could put an eye out throwing stilettos) decorated shoes… Google all this … I cannot make chit like this up! ❤

So yeah, that’s my excuse for slacking the last week (ish).  Last night was the Oscars too, and I actually watched it (yayy Bohemian Rhapsody!).
