My mornings are precious right now. Our normal everyday life is on hold as everyone is just cleaning up and looking for insurance adjusters and roofers right now. I have like a million people living in my house, as I had the least amount of serious damage…..and the fact that I have 2 giant parts of my roof missing in 2 different rooms says a lot. I was super lucky enough to get my power and internet back, and I have a Keurig….so I’m pretty popular right now with family, housemates and neighbors. The best time of the day though is the morning. Everybody’s up and out to walk the dog and check on neighbors progresses and see how big their trash piles have grown. I stay…make my coffee, sit on the porch and contemplate the workings of the universe. It’s quiet, peaceful and lasts maybe a half hour…then everybody’s back…but it’s the best half hour. ❤
