If there was ever any one talent that I truly wish I possessed it would be to have artistic abilities. I can’t even make a decent stick man.  I do appreciate art and I know there’s a lot I don’t understand (Jackson Pollock….whaaaa!?).  I also know there’s a lot I like, some I love and much that I can just stare at in awe….but I am an amateur appreciator.  Some 10 years ago or so I took a group of students to New York for Spring Break.  One of the boys was artsy and when they were talking about their bucket lists on the plane ride there he said he has 5 pieces of art he wanted to make sure he saw in his lifetime.  On the top of his list was The Starry Night (also one of my favs).  I had seen it before at the Museum of Modern Art in NY so I made plans to bring the kids there the next day.  Once there, we synchronized our watches, made a meetup plan and off they went to explore. I asked Ryan and his buddy to come with me and we made our way to the 5th floor (if memory serves).  After a bit of wandering, we rounded a corner and there it was.  There was a bench to sit on in front of it and after Ryan could put one foot in front of the other he went and sat….and stared…and stared…and stared.  Not my kind of staring either…this was deep down true appreciation of a piece of art.  He had tears rolling down his face and he could have cared less.  He told me later that he felt this powerful pull in his heart like a physical thing.  How amazing must it be to bring that level of joy to people!?!? ❤

I thought of this when I saw the newest collection from 8f8 for The Epiphany, Art of Nature.  I have always been in awe of ibi’s talent and his art that he brings to SL is nothing short of pure perfection.  I unbox, sit it down and stare in awe….then I inspect it bit by bit looking for all the little eccentric details that he always adds.  He never disappoints.  Art of Nature is exquisite…nothing short of it.  There are 2 gachas…one is the main gacha (with a house that will make you cry from the sheer beauty….more on that in another post) and a mini gacha…which I guess is a thing with The Epiphany.  There is also a VIP reward, an exclusive item AND a group gift!  What I have in this pic is just a tiny window into the collection….but I really just wanted to do something simple…but also maybe a little bit powerful.  Stay tuned for more. ❤
